Just Jack, the legendary house and techno night in Bristol, is approaching its teens and turning 11 this February 4 at Motion. The Bristol club has recently been voted as the 19th best club in the world in the annual DJ Mag rankings, and the former skatepark is a Pitch favourite with its late night raves and festival-style in:motion series that never disappoints.

Heading things up on the night is Robert Hood, making his Just Jack debut after a lot of chasing from the organisers. Known as one of the godfathers of techno, he’s famously known as a founding member of Underground Resistance alongside Mike Banks and Jeff Mills. The Detroit favourite and floorfiller is joined by DJ Bone, ready and willing to take you on a journey through his record collection. You’ll find both these behemoths of techno in the main room, which is sure to be busy.

House DJ and Pearson Sound collaborator, Midland, is returning to Bristol after 3 years and it’s very exciting to see such a familiar face back again to tear up the Bristol warehouse. With a kaleidoscopic taste, Midland has gone from strength to strength producing club cuts as well as modern pop songs, experimenting with techno, house and disco.

Glaswegian two-piece, Optimo, are also gracing Motion for the birthday blowout alongside Japanese producer and DJ, Soichi Terada, in the Tunnel room. The Japanese house superstar is known for bringing the vibes, and will no doubt do so yet again with his live show. Jayda G is joining the bill, fresh from her recent releases with Fettburger, Freakout Cult and 1080P.

Just Jack’s 11th birthday takes place on February 4, at Motion, running from 10PM till 6AM. Tickets are available from £15 at your standard ticket outlets.
